| WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort | ||
| those saddened by the death of Charles Augustus Narramore of | ||
| Longview on July 20, 2025, at the age of 97; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Charles Narramore was born in Georges Creek, | ||
| Arkansas, on March 7, 1928, to Charles Roscoe Narramore and Essie | ||
| Pierce Narramore; he grew up with the companionship of two | ||
| brothers, Frank and Jack, and a sister, Sybil; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Narramore enjoyed a rewarding career as a | ||
| steelworker; he was a longtime resident of Diana and was active | ||
| in his community as a member of Masonic Lodges Ashland No. 1138 | ||
| and Little Cypress No. 1459; he was also a man of faith and a | ||
| valued congregant of Smyrna Methodist Church; his many interests | ||
| included writing, singing, researching genealogy, hunting, and | ||
| performing mechanical work; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Although he will be deeply missed, Charles | ||
| Narramore leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones whose | ||
| lives are far richer for having known him, and he will always hold | ||
| a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory | ||
| of Charles Augustus Narramore and extend heartfelt condolences | ||
| to the members of his family: to his children, Jimmy Narramore | ||
| and his wife, Debbie, Russell Narramore, Anita N. Hurst and her | ||
| husband, Sebastian, Bobby Dehart and his wife, Patsy, Reba Dugger | ||
| and her husband, Steve, Barbara McCay, Sharon Pilcher, and | ||
| Lynette Peterson; to his 25 grandchildren and many | ||
| great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns | ||
| this day, it do so in memory of Charles Narramore. | ||
