| WHEREAS, A life filled with joyful times and meaningful | ||
| accomplishments drew to a close with the passing of Dale Eston | ||
| Hall on May 5, 2025, at the age of 61; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Mary and Harlan Hall, Dale Hall was | ||
| born in Odessa on August 15, 1963, and he grew up in Longview with | ||
| the companionship of his sister, Diane; he attended Longview High | ||
| School, where his musical talents were demonstrated as a trombone | ||
| player in the school band; following graduation, he went on to | ||
| attend Austin Community College; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Hall enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a | ||
| computer specialist for the State of Texas, and his efforts were | ||
| recognized with multiple employee of the month awards; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A man of strong faith, Mr. Hall was a valued | ||
| member of First Baptist Church Longview and Hyde Park Church in | ||
| Austin; known for his keen wit, altruistic nature, and infectious | ||
| smile, he delighted in helping others, and he had a great love for | ||
| animals, including his cherished dog, Patches; in his leisure | ||
| hours, he enjoyed cooking and grilling; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Dale Hall possessed a generosity of spirit that | ||
| expressed itself in myriad ways, and he enriched the lives of | ||
| countless people with his warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be | ||
| it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory | ||
| of Dale Eston Hall and extend sincere condolences to the members | ||
| of his family: to his father, Harlan Hall; to his sister, Diane | ||
| Rice and her husband, Mark; to his nephew, Justin Rice; and to his | ||
| other relatives and many friends; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns | ||
| this day, it do so in memory of Dale Hall. | ||
