| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the ACCEYSS Consortium's 6th Annual Faith and | ||
| Community Leadership Summit taking place on July 25, 2025, at | ||
| Texas State University; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The ACCEYSS Consortium is a statewide initiative | ||
| dedicated to expanding access to high-quality education and | ||
| workforce development opportunities in science, technology, | ||
| engineering, and mathematics by engaging families, educators, | ||
| and communities across Texas; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The consortium delivers impactful programs | ||
| including its annual summit and youth camps, which have served as | ||
| effective platforms for networking, collaboration, and sharing | ||
| of resources among educators, students, policymakers, and | ||
| industry professionals; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The ACCEYSS camps have been especially successful | ||
| in combining STEM learning with faith-based outreach, offering | ||
| students an enriching experience that integrates scientific | ||
| exploration with community values and leadership development; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Supported by the National Science Foundation's | ||
| Eddie Bernice Johnson INCLUDES Initiative, the ACCEYSS | ||
| Consortium provides critical support for K-12 STEM initiatives | ||
| that prepare students for participation in tomorrow's innovation | ||
| economy; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend the ACCEYSS | ||
| Consortium for its outstanding leadership in expanding STEM | ||
| education and workforce readiness through community-based | ||
| collaboration and faith-informed innovation; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an | ||
| expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
